About Freedom House Adult and Teen Challenge
Freedom House Adult and Teen Challenge is a faith-based residential recovery program in Checotah, Oklahoma for adult women 18 and older.
The program supports women facing substance abuse, alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and other life-controlling challenges through Christian discipleship, mentoring and structured living.
Rooted in a philosophy of transformation rather than short-term treatment, Freedom House guides women toward lasting life change through spiritual growth, relational healing and practical skill building.
Long-Term Recovery for Women
Freedom House offers a 13+ month residential program designed to help women build a strong foundation for lifelong recovery.
As part of the Adult and Teen Challenge of Oklahoma network the program combines biblical education, worship, one-on-one counseling and supervised work therapy in a supportive campus-style environment.
Daily life includes Bible studies, group work, CBT-informed sessions, 12-step principles and life-skills training that address both the spiritual and practical sides of recovery.
Work therapy helps residents develop job readiness, discipline and confidence to thrive after program completion.
Parenting Support and Family Restoration
Freedom House recognizes the unique needs of mothers in recovery and offers parenting-skills support as part of its women's program.
Approved children may live on-site with participating mothers, helping families stay connected while moms pursue healing, stability and spiritual renewal.
The program is private pay and emphasizes affordability with tuition assistance available to qualifying women seeking admission.
