About South Florida Intervention for Drug & Alcohol Addiction
South Florida Intervention for Drug & Alcohol Addiction is led by Marc Kantor, a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) based in Boca Raton, Florida.
Mr. Kantor helps individuals and families address substance use, mental health concerns, and codependency. He and his staff specialize in intervention facilitation, recovery coaching, treatment placement, and family support for conditions like addiction, anxiety, depression, enabling relationships, and “failure to launch” challenges.
Intervention Facilitation & Recovery Navigation
This is the heart of South Florida Intervention’s work: helping individuals and families step into treatment and lasting change. With Mr. Kantor’s years in recovery since 2004, the team supports planning and executing interventions, arranging treatment placements, and offering post-treatment case management and sober escort services. They also provide an “Introduction to Sobriety”—a five-day intensive designed for those not yet ready for residential treatment, held in upscale settings like homes or boutique hotels.
Treatment facilitation here isn’t about confrontation—it’s rooted in compassion and connection. Sessions are built around open communication, impact letters, boundary setting and education about addiction tailored to each person’s story. After initial engagement, ongoing support via recovery coaching, weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, and family involvement helps address underlying dynamics and sustain progress over time.
Family Systems & Parent Coaching
South Florida Intervention places strong emphasis on healing the family system. They offer parent coaching and family support meetings to help loved ones understand addiction, set healthy boundaries and reduce enabling or codependent patterns. Their approach works with families whose children are teenage-aged up to adult-age by fostering more functional relationships and clearer communication.
In these sessions, parents get tools to respond with support rather than frustration, learn how to navigate crises, and build routines that reinforce recovery in the home. Support is often delivered virtually for accessibility so families across the country can access guidance without needing in-person travel.
How to Begin with South Florida Intervention
They offer in-person work in homes or high-end hotels and virtual support when applicable for individuals, families, and young adults. Mr. Kantor brings lived experience in recovery since 2004 as well as formal certification; Kelly Densmore adds extensive experience supporting parents of people in active addiction or treatment.
Because South Florida Intervention is not a licensed medical facility, its services like intervention and coaching are generally not covered by typical health insurance, though they assist with verifying insurance benefits and negotiating treatment placement costs.
