About Phoenix House Dallas
Phoenix House Texas is located on Reagan Street in Dallas, Texas. They provide educational and prevention services to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorder at their Hill A. Feinberg Prevention Center. It’s located in a residential community with access to many restaurants, hotels, and health care facilities.
They’re easily accessible to I-35E and the Dallas North Tollway for transportation to and from your treatment. The center is also close to cultural attractions and natural landmarks including Trammel Crow Park, Lakeside Park and the Dallas Museum of Art.
Services are offered to underserved community members struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. The staff primarily focuses on the prevention of these disorders, but also offers treatment and referrals for higher levels of care where needed.
School and Community-Based Programs for Youth
I think it’s great that they offer a school-based program for youth who’re at a higher risk of addiction and mental health issues. They teach them healthy life skills and provide them with educational programs on the dangerous effects of addiction, with a particular focus on fentanyl.
For Underserved, At-Risk Communities
They understand that family environments, living circumstances, work and community situations as well as socio-economic circumstances can negatively impact the mental well-being of many underserved community members. This is why they strive to express the importance of early intervention.
I CARE Model for Treatment and Prevention
I love that their prevention treatment model uses the I CARE For model to approach prevention which incorporates integrity, collaboration, appreciation, respect, excellence and FORward-thinking.
This approach provides a community-based model to prevention by ensuring all clients understand that they’re valued and will be treated with respect with the hopes of preventing addiction and mental health instability as they age.
