By race/ethnicity, White individuals experienced the highest rate of opioid-related overdose deaths in 2021.
Doctors wrote 966,931 opioid prescriptions in 2021.
San Bernardino County experienced 243 hospitalizations related to opioid overdose in 2021.
The opioid prescribing rate for 2022 was 440.31 per 1,000 residents.
Between 2020 and 2022, the buprenorphine (medication for opioid use disorder) prescribing rate increased by 47%.
