Wel-Mor Psychology Group in Newport Beach, California is certified by the California State Department of Health Services to provide court ordered programs and substance use treatment. Voluntary clients are also accepted.
The clinic is certified to provide the Outpatient Drug Medi-Cal Program. If your assessment reveals you need detox services and/or inpatient treatment you will be referred to a local facility.
Outpatient Substance Use Treatment in Newport Beach
Intensive outpatient programs require individual and group therapy three hours per day for three to five days per week. General outpatient programs require one to five sessions per week. Sessions are available morning or evening.
Therapies used include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, trauma informed, psychoeducation, and 12 step methods. Relapse prevention and problem solving skills will be taught and discussed in group sessions.
Court Mandated Programs
I think it’s helpful that the clinic is certified to provide court mandated programs. The Batterer’s Intervention Program and the Child Abuser’s Treatment Program is 52 weeks for two hours per week in gender specific groups. Clients will identify their abusive behaviors and find health behaviors to replace them with.
The PC1000 Program is a 32 hour program where you will explore your addiction and how it affects you psychologically. The PC1210 Program uses drug testing to determine how long the client is in the program. In order to complete the programs, clients in track one must be sober at least 120 days and track two must have been sober for 90 days.
I found that the parenting program is court ordered but clients can attend on a voluntary basis. Clients are randomly drug tested and learn about positive discipline, conflict resolution, blended family issues, and communication skills.
