About Tools For Life
Tools For Life (TFL) in Naperville, Illinois, offers substance use treatment and services in English and Spanish. A sliding fee scale is available for those needing financial assistance.
TFL is certified to provide DUI programs including evaluation, risk education, counseling, continuing care, and assistance with getting a driver's license reinstated. They are also certified to provide drug and alcohol testing using ETG tests for further detection. Clients can be seen the same day for testing.
Recovery Around Your Schedule
Their flexible intensive outpatient programs meet three times per week for three hours. You will be able to choose your home group and two flex groups that you will meet with each week.
General outpatient programs are available for individuals, groups, and families. Groups meet once per week. Each week you will also meet with your counselor for 30 minutes to an hour. Family sessions seek to resolve disputes and require at least one family member in addition to yourself.
Specific Treatment Groups
Early intervention and counseling is available to adolescents. In this program groups will participate in an activities and interests assessment and will be educated in the gang prevention program.
A women’s group gives women a safe space to discuss women related issues. For those diagnosed with a co-occurring mental issue, dual diagnosis counseling is available.
For those who do not have a substance use disorder but have other issues such as grief, work issues, or lack of direction, a life coach is assigned to the client for counseling and guidance. A work readiness index assesses clients to find employment strengths and weaknesses as TFL assists clients in finding employment.
