About The Salvation Army Anaheim Adult Rehabilitation Center
The Salvation Army is one of the nation’s leading providers of non-medical residential rehabilitation programs. In Southeast Anaheim, California, you’ll find one of their adult rehabilitation centers just over a mile east of Disneyland Park.
At this rehab center, they offer the Salvation Army’s unique long term residential program to men over the age of 21 who are looking for a way to break free from drug and alcohol addictions. The program is based on the principles of faith and abstinence, which means they have a strict policy against any addictive substances on campus. This program is generally offered at no cost to applicants.
A Structured Healing Journey
Their long term program typically runs for around 6 months, but you can stay and work for longer if you need to. During this time, they help you plug into a daily and weekly routine that’s designed to help you develop discipline, resilience and healthy life skills.
While you’re in the program, you’ll take part in group counseling activities. Clients will get a working role in one of the Salvation Army’s businesses or charity stores.
You'll have to help your brothers take care of the residence by doing chores. You’ll also get the opportunity to work with a counselor in individual sessions, which will help you address your individual circumstances and needs.
Building Strong Foundations
The work focused therapy approach is incredibly powerful as the meaningful occupation you get not only gives you something bigger to focus on during recovery, but also great employment skills and experience. These types of life skills go a long way in helping you live a successful and independent life.
Anaheim’s Adult Rehabilitation Center is also very close to the Salvation Army’s Center of Hope Apartments. These apartments offer a low cost housing opportunity for those who need that sort of help while rebuilding their lives.
