About Riverside University Health System Corona Wellness and Recovery Center
Known as the "Lemon Capital of the World," Corona, California, is home to Riverside University Health System Corona Wellness and Recovery Center. This behavioral health center provides compassionate care for Riverside County residents battling addiction and dual diagnosis.
Accessible Care Regardless of Income
One great feature I noticed was their affordable care. They primarily serve people with Medi Cal insurance or eligibility for specialized State programs. They also accept Medicare. You can still get the help you need even if you don't have insurance. They offer a discounted sliding fee scale based on income and family size.
MOMs Perinatal Program
For me, their MOMs Perinatal Program really stood out. This intensive outpatient program offers specialized care for pregnant and parenting women battling addiction, with priority placement for women who inject substances.
You and your children can access tailored services and education, including population specific groups, a child learning laboratory, and connections and referrals to community programs. They also offer transportation to medically necessary appointments for women and their children aged five and under.
Bilingual and Evening Hours Available
Another great feature I noticed was their bilingual program. You can access a 16 week, Spanish speaking track.
You'll focus on improving interpersonal and communication skills, addiction education and relapse prevention. Additionally, they provide individual counseling, random drug testing, case management and referrals.
Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT)
I also think it's great that they offer MAT for Riverside County residents. This approach combines FDA approved medication with behavioral therapies and counseling. You’ll benefit from a whole person approach to reduce physical withdrawal symptoms while honing in on recovery.
