About Retreat Behavioral and Mental Health Center
Retreat Behavioral and Mental Health Center in Greenacres, Florida, was a drug rehab facility that treated adults struggling with substance abuse. Support extended to veterans and active military personnel, LGBTQ+ folks, pregnant and postpartum women, as well as those struggling with trauma, sexual and domestic abuse, or concurrent mental health issues. Private health insurance and self-payment were accepted. The center is now closed, but similar recovery services are available in the area.
Medical Detox and Inpatient Rehab Services
They offered support here for medically assisted detox. The dedicated team provided medical support to help make clients more comfortable and alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
Commonly, many clients who came in for detox would progress to inpatient care. On this program, they would be under 24/7 supervision and engage in a combination of group and individual therapy, nutritional counseling, experiential therapies and medication management, for a holistic approach to treatment. Dual diagnosis care to address concurrent mental health issues was also integrated into programming.
All residents stayed in private rooms. The facility also boasted relaxing yoga and meditation rooms, music and recreation rooms, as well as massage facilities to help regulate the nervous system and alleviate aches and pains.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment Options
The facility also provided outpatient programming for mild to moderate cases of addiction. Clients could choose from a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and standard outpatient programming. The focus across all of these programs was primarily on relapse prevention and facilitating a long-term sustainable recovery.
Creative arts and experiential therapies were also incorporated into care to support the facility’s holistic approach.
