About Millwood Hospital—Branches Arlington
Millwood Hospital’s Branches Arlington location in Texas provides treatment for clients eight years old and older. It started operations in 2001. They’re certified by The Joint Commission and LegitScript. The Joint Commission has named Millwood Hospital as their top performer and is a fine feather in their cap.
The center accepts Medicare, TRICARE, and other insurance coverages. Traditional Medicaid and CHIP is accepted for clients under the age of 21. Some people are unable to attend appointments in person because of our personal circumstances. For them, sessions via telehealth are available.
Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program
The partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions and lasts for six weeks. Mental health, substance use, and adolescent groups meet separately Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Your psychiatrist will oversee your treatment and manage your medications.
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are less intensive than PHP and the separate groups meet Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Your family is welcome to participate in your treatment and follow up care.
Group therapies include trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Other services offered include medication management with your psychiatrist and family therapy.
Second Chances Program
The Second Chances PHP/IOP program for adults is for those who’ve been hospitalized repetitively, aren’t taking medications as prescribed, or have schizoaffective disorder. The Second Chances program lasts six to 12 weeks.
If it’s determined you need more intensive inpatient substance use treatment, you will be referred to their inpatient treatment facility in Arlington. Inpatient treatment is available to clients ages 12 and above.
