About McAlister Institute South Bay Regional Recovery Center
The McAlister Institute has become one of San Diego’s leading addiction treatment organizations since opening their doors almost five decades ago. North of Lauderbach Park in Chula Vista, California, you’ll find the South Bay Regional Recovery Center (SBRRC), which is just one of several regional recovery centers run by the Institute.
Here, they provide several outpatient treatment options to men and women aged 18 and older. To make their services as accessible as possible, they accept patients on Medi-Cal and can also help individuals eligible for Medi-Cal coverage navigate the insurance landscape.
Personalized Care That’s Affordable
Their outpatient care goes beyond offering traditional treatment options by including a wide range of peripheral services. This includes access to social services such as re-entry support, case management, housing assistance and other community resources. By offering these services, they’re able to help individuals remedy parts of their lives that may have been indirectly impacted by addiction.
For treating addictions directly, they offer individual substance counseling, group counseling, relapse prevention planning and additional mental health counseling for co-occurring conditions if needed. These services are personalized to each individual and can even be offered in Spanish.
One of their recent patients said that the staff were authentic, kind, and professional. The groups are also said to be informative, engaging and fun.
The McAlister Institute’s Wider Network
If you fall outside the scope of the SBRRC’s services, they can still connect you to an appropriate service within their network. The McAlister Institute offers 40 programs across all their locations, including residential programs for men and women, inpatient detox, outpatient care for teens and supportive housing programs.
