About Chcada Latinas Alcohol Recovery Home
CHCADA Latinas Alcohol Recovery Home is a gender specific residential substance abuse treatment facility for young women and youth in Los Angeles, operated by the California Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
The six bed program offers around the clock residential care with therapy and twelve step programming to address multiple substance use disorders. With nearly five decades of organizational experience, CHCADA provides culturally competent treatment and recognizes that substance abuse emerges from biochemical, genetic and familial, psychological and sociocultural factors.
Residential Treatment for Latina Women
CHCADA specializes in gender specific residential care for young women and youth struggling with addiction, with services targeted to Hispanic and Latino populations. The small six bed capacity allows for personalized care in a home like setting, with approximately fifty percent of clients experiencing homelessness at intake.
Treatment includes screening and assessment, individual and group counseling, family therapy and crisis intervention available at all times. Their interdisciplinary approach addresses both the root causes and secondary effects of substance dependency, with structured programming that incorporates culturally balanced meals, recreation and physical fitness, educational training and career counseling to support long term recovery.
Culturally Competent Programming
The program delivers bilingual and bicultural services designed specifically for Latino and Hispanic youth, though treatment is available across all backgrounds.
As part of one of California's oldest culturally specific recovery programs, CHCADA emphasizes intensive outreach and enrollment support to reduce barriers to care for underserved communities.
