About GHH Ministries Hacienda Christian Life Campus
GHH Ministry’s Hacienda Christian Life Campus is a faith based residential treatment program for men. The program helps individuals find strength in Christ to overcome problems dominating their lives, including alcoholism and drug addiction. It’s a 10-acre campus in Perris, California.
People from all walks of life come to the program, regardless of past religious affiliation. Some men join as an alternative to prison sentencing. Regardless of why they join, all clients participate in Biblical study, worship, training, and personal counseling.
There is no cost to participate in this program.
Modular Program
The program is divided into two phases, but what I find interesting is that the second phase is entirely optional. The first phase (the base program) lasts a year, but if you want to spend more time developing your skills or studying with the ministry, you can move to the second phase. I like having this as a separate option as it acknowledges the different needs clients have when they come to treatment.
Prep for Independent Living
While the faith based components are central to the program, I want to mention that they’ve included additional independent living skills training, too. Practical vocational and educational support will ensure you can support yourself when you return to your community, empowered by your renewed faith in God.
But it gets even better in my opinion. During the second phase of the program, you can receive assistance finding employment, housing, and even personal transportation. Staff will help you secure your GED if needed to aid in your job hunt. Those who are justice involved will have help meeting the requirements of probation, too. Staff seemingly do everything they can to ensure a smooth transition into independent living.
Retreat into Recovery
The campus offers privacy and seclusion away from the distractions of everyday life. The landscape of Perris offers beautiful sites and access to relaxing settings when you want to be alone or reflect on your recovery. And this seclusion can naturally strengthen your relationship with God.
