About Gentle Path at The Meadows
Gentle Path at The Meadows is a men only addiction and mental health treatment center in Wickenburg, Arizona specializing in sexual compulsivity and intimacy disorders, trauma and co-occurring conditions.
The program offers a six week residential model that blends the clinical support of a psychiatric hospital with a warm, privacy focused desert setting.
Clients benefit from CSAT certified therapists, 24/7 psychiatric nursing and a broad menu of trauma focused and experiential care.
What kinds of treatment are offered?
The program provides a 45 day inpatient residential experience with detox and long term residential care listed in facility directories.
Care includes weekly individual therapy, small groups and family engagement, aftercare planning and a 12 step approach, guided by the Meadows Model and Dr. Patrick Carnes' 30 Task Model.

Gentle Path serves adult men age 18 and older in a gender specific setting.
Core focus areas include sex addiction, pornography addiction, intimacy and attachment disorders, sexual and emotional trauma, and PTSD, along with co-occurring substance use, mood and anxiety disorders.
A Rainbow Advocate supports LGBTQIA2+ individuals.
Where is the center located?
The program sits on 35 acres in Wickenburg's Sonoran Desert, about one hour from Phoenix. Amenities include walking trails, a pool, a meditation path and outdoor lounge areas.
Do they take insurance?
Gentle Path is in network with providers such as BCBS, TRICARE and First Health, MultiPlan and TriWest, and can work with out of network benefits. Self pay and major credit cards are also accepted.
