Choosing From Many Michigan Rehab Centers
Making the decision to seek help is a very daunting and possibly frightening prospect. Once you make this choice, you have to find the rehab center that is right for you. You have several options.
- Inpatient vs outpatient treatment – inpatient treatment is a residential form of treatment whereas outpatient treatment is nonresidential. You can either stay at home while attending daily, weekly, or monthly sessions or you can stay at the treatment center 24 hours a day for the duration.
- Behavioral therapy, medication, or both – you can either quit without medication or use a medication-assisted treatment.
- Amenities – what type of extras do you want the rehab to have. Some rehabs have everything from personal trainers to private chefs. You will have to choose what extras you need to have to feel comfortable
Although it might be difficult to think about these things at first, these are essential to whether or not you will be comfortable in your treatment. According to the Principles of Addiction Treatment, the treatment must be tailored to your individual needs, wants, and goals. If it is not you risk failure.
