About Woodglen Recovery Junction
Woodglen Recovery Junction is set in the historic 1887 Porter Ranch House in Fullerton, California. They have been offering addiction treatment for adults and young adults since 1990. The nonprofit facility is listed by SAMHSA and fosters a home like environment for holistic and 12 step based care. Medi-Cal is accepted as well as self pay. They are partially funded by Orange County.
Round The Clock Care
You will be able to receive residential treatment that provides 60 day inpatient care. Care is provided for up to 24 residents and you will have dormitory style rooms with 24/7 medical monitoring during detox.
They blend treatment modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and trauma related counseling with holistic therapies like meditation and nutrition education. This is done so that your mind, body and spirit are being addressed.
Therapy will focus on relapse prevention and life skills like anger management and establishing healthy boundaries. The staff will give you all the tools you need to move on to less intensive care in an outpatient setting.
Weekly Alumni Meetings
What stood out to me is their weekly alumni meetings. The group meets once a week in the evenings to foster both community support and peer mentorship.
I also like that they provide gender specific programs for men and women that create a safe and tailored space to address unique challenges. LGBTQ+ friendly care may also be offered to ensure inclusivity.
Clients rave about the “family vibe” and the staff. The cul-de-sac offers a serene escape that helps focus on recovery.
