Volunteers of America Men's Adult Detoxification Center in Salt Lake City provides social model, non-medical detox and withdrawal management services for adult men. The program offers a safe, structured environment to stabilize after recent drug or alcohol use, with case management, peer support, Seeking Safety groups and 12-Step meetings. This approach helps men transition from withdrawal to longer-term recovery planning with dignity and practical support.
Social Model Detox for Men in Salt Lake City
The Men's Adult Detox Center specializes in non-medical, residential withdrawal management for men ages 18 and older. With stays of up to 14 days, the program creates a peer-supported space where clients can safely stabilize without medical intervention, guided by case managers who connect them to medication-assisted treatment (MAT), Medicaid enrollment, and next-step recovery resources.
In the social model, clients participate in daily structure that includes Seeking Safety trauma groups, peer support circles and 12-Step meetings. The focus is on stabilization and navigation: addressing immediate withdrawal symptoms while building a clear plan for ongoing treatment, whether that's residential rehab, outpatient care or sober living. Three meals a day and 24/7 access support clients through the critical early days of recovery.
