About StarVista Adolescent Substance Abuse Program
The Insights program of StarVista in Daly City, California offers outpatient services for youth ages 12 to 21. Youth are counseled for substance youth, mental health and everyday issues.
The program is certified by the Department of Health Care Services to provide treatment for alcohol and drug use. The organization is funded through monetary donations, visionaries members, daybreak family members and other methods.
Helpful Counseling Services For Youth
The program counsels and supports youth for issues such as life transitions, substance use, emotions, relationships, and traumatic events. Counseling is offered individually to the youth, in a group of youth, and for the youth’s family. Parents can attend parent support sessions and will be assigned a case manager.
Your child will learn how to take control of their emotions, how to communicate in a healthy way, how to establish healthy relationships, damage of substance use to the body and mind and mindfulness. Mindfulness based groups are free of charge to ages 15 to 21. These virtual zoom meetings will teach your child how to improve themselves through awareness and acceptance of other people.
Referrals to Other Services
Other programs are offered by StarVista at the counseling center. Children, youth, adults, and families can learn how to change negative patterns in their lives through counseling.
If your child is in crisis because of substance use and could be incarcerated, StarVista will deliver crisis services to your location. Services are provided in conjunction with County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and law enforcement. StarVista is conveniently located just off of interstate 280.
