About Soroptimist House of Hope
House of Hope is an organization that offers outpatient addiction treatment in San Pedro, California. Services are available for individuals who are MediCal eligible.
The organization is CARF accredited, licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services, and approved by the County of Los Angeles. Outpatient programs can benefit clients who have completed residential treatment, are unable to attend residential treatment because of obligations, are court ordered for treatment or do not have a severe substance use diagnosis.
Helpful Substance Use Treatments and Groups
Treatment goals will be created and periodically reviewed by you and your counselor. Group sessions use evidence based therapies to help you heal from addiction.
These therapies may include dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Clients will learn to change negative thoughts limiting their recovery and develop relapse prevention strategies to maintain their sobriety. You will participate in sessions that will also teach you ways to manage your anger and improve your communication skills.
Family counseling is available to help strengthen your support system and teach your loved ones how to better support your recovery. Women enrolled in an outpatient program or who have completed outpatient treatment have the option of short term sober Recovery Bridge Housing. This will give you a sober environment while you are finding a housing solution.
Supportive Aftercare and Alumni Programs
The aftercare program will connect you with individuals who you can enjoy sober outings with. Alumnae groups meet twice per month for sober social events and outside activities.
Staying connected with individuals who are also living in recovery will help you stay encouraged in your healing journey. One reviewer praised the organization for helping their daughter change into a whole new woman.
