Referral for Substance Use Treatment
The administrative offices in Oakland can refer you to one of Seneca’s clinics that will treat your child for substance abuse. Services are provided for children, adolescents and young adults.
You and your child will attend counseling and group counseling to understand the cause of the addiction and develop relapse prevention strategies. Youth who are involved with the justice system can be referred to Seneca for required treatments and services.
School Based Services
Many children and youth are introduced to substances by their classmates. Seneca provides school based services.
You and your child can attend counseling at your child’s school. They offer whole school prevention and early intervention programs that will improve the climate and culture for all students in the school.
Crisis Programs and Services
Your child may experience a crisis such as severe withdrawals or intoxication. Crisis response programs include a mobile response team that can come to your location. Once stabilized, you may be referred to partial hospitalization programs or residential therapeutic programs.
Short Term Partial Hospitalization
STEP programs provide partial hospitalization programs for youth ages 12 to 17. The programs are intensive, short term stabilization services that will allow your child to reintegrate back into their school and community where substances may be available for use.
