About Santa Barbara Rescue Mission
Located near East Beach and Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara, California, you can find the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission campus. Here, they provide food and overnight shelter to the homeless of Santa Barbara, as well as faith centered recovery programs to help people struggling with addiction. As a nonprofit organization that relies on donations, they’re positioned to offer discounted and even free services to applicants, depending on each individual’s financial background and needs.
Dedicated Residential Programs for Men and Women
In addition to their large capacity for sheltering homeless individuals living in the community, they host two residential recovery programs to help people who have struggled with addiction. Each of these separated residential treatment programs is designed to cater to the needs of the men or women receiving care.
The men’s program provides a healthy environment in which men live and learn about relating in healthy ways with themselves, within a community, and with God. The program runs for 12 months and is based on a faith centered 12 Step program that allows residents to take responsibility for their recovery journey and helps them grow.
The women’s program follows a similar 12 month structure built around their 12 Step program. Women in the program get to live at a wonderful location made of two residences joined in the middle by a garden patio where you can connect and socialize.
Beautiful and Safe Sober Living
They also offer a safe and secure sober living space for men who’ve largely completed the intensive detox and treatment processes. They keep the environment safe and conducive to further growth with their own set of rules and random drug testing. They also require residents to continue engaging in their 12 Step program and to maintain contact with their sponsors.
