About Newport Academy Pleasanton
Newport Academy is located on Happy Valley Road in Pleasanton, California. They provide residential behavioral health services and treatment for teens to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorder. They are located in a residential-style facility in an affluent residential community of Pleasanton.
They are close to Calippe Preserve, Mission Hills Park and Augustin Bernal Park. I think it’s good to know that they are also close to hotels, restaurants and retail stores for visits to your teen. You can access I-680 and I-580 for easy transportation to and from the facility.
Residential Treatment for Adolescents to Young Adults
Newport specializes in providing residential treatment for children aged 7 and up to young adults 18-35 through their Newport Institute. This particular facility, though, is centered on teenagers so they tailor their care to what teenagers are going through and the best ways to relate to adolescents.
Step-Down Outpatient Behavioral Health Available
Following discharge from this treatment program, your child can move to step-down care through Newport Academy’s outpatient program. They offer IOP and PHP programs for children and teens aged 7 to 18, requiring structured outpatient therapy and counseling services.
Eating Disorder Therapy Program
I like that Newport also provides therapy for eating disorders as well, a serious issue among adolescents and teens. They will work with you, your child and their therapy team to provide support and information services on nutrition, the effects of eating disorders and to address with your child any trauma that may have led to their disorder.
