Mental Health Systems East County Center for Change was located on Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon, California. They are now permanently closed. They focused on providing court mandated services for adults who had been referred by the court system to treatment programs for DUI convictions.
Mental Health Services and Referrals for DUI Convictions
This facility provided individual counseling services to help those convicted of criminal offenses safely return to independent living following completion of their assigned programs. They also offered group therapy sessions, so that individuals could heal together with like-minded peers in a safe and supportive environment.
Case Management and Employment Services
In addition, this counseling center offered case management services and acted as a liaison between the courts and their clients to ensure they were credited for completing or not completing their required program.
They also worked with clients to provide mental health services, education on the consequences of their criminal offenses and how to prevent future offenses, and employment services including job training and employee assistance programs. Lastly, the organization offered community referrals to aftercare programs and services.
