Gateway supports not just addiction treatment but dual diagnosis care, understanding that for many people it’s underlying conditions that trigger substance abuse. In this program, there are options for 12 step programs, family therapy, and behavioral therapy sessions to help you get to the root of your addiction and heal it from the bottom up.
Support is available at any time of the day and medication management is also an option if you struggle with other health concerns such as insomnia. For certain addictions, they even provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help manage withdrawal symptoms so you can stay sober in the difficult early stages of recovery.
Multiple Levels of Outpatient Treatment
Many people prefer to receive care while still having the option to live at home. Gateway offers a day treatment program, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a traditional outpatient program to meet those needs.
Day treatment allows for people to be in an immersed safe environment for up to seven hours each day with the freedom to return home. The IOP is still structured but less rigorous. Finally, standard outpatient treatment here is the least rigid with meetings just once a week and potentially a once monthly check up with a psychiatrist.
