Located not far from the beautiful campus of Stetson University, AdventHealth DeLand Hospital in Florida treats depression, addiction and anxiety as well as bipolar disorders and other behavioral health issues. Dedicated Behavioral Health Unit
The behavioral health unit specializes in co-occurring and substance use disorders, trauma, partner violence, PTSD, first episode psychosis, and serious mental illness. They can provide inpatient hospital based detoxification treatment if you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
Therapies include CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused. You will receive substance use counseling in a group session and receive family counseling to mend broken relationships. Support groups are led by peers who are farther along in their recovery journey.
Education is integrated with counseling. You will learn more about substance use, your health, and overdose prevention.
Inclusive and Holistic Treatment
This behavioral health center offers care to adults and young adults as well as seniors over age 65. Psychiatric sessions are available in person or virtually using telepsychiatry so you can get treatment even if you can’t make it to the facility. As a client you will participate in relaxation therapy and therapeutic crafts.
Integrated Medical Care
Substance use can cause damage to your physical body as well as affecting your mental health. As a hospital, they are able to provide cardiac monitoring, IV medications, medication management, orthopedic care, respiratory care and wound care. Dieticians are available to you if needed and they can teach you about nutrition.
