About Cottage Residential Center
The Cottage Residential Center (CRC) in Santa Barbara, California, is a residential treatment center just two blocks from the beach. CRC is accredited by The Joint Commission and they accept Medicare, Tricare and other private health insurances.
Integrated Health Services
Because the center does offer integrated services, you will receive a complete medical exam which will uncover any issues that need to be treated. If any client needs medical surgical services, this can be arranged quickly. Registered dieticians ensure that you receive meals that provide you with quality nutrients.
Medically supervised inpatient detoxification is available for those who need assistance withdrawing from alcohol, sedatives or opiates. When you complete detox, you can move forward with residential treatment to continue your recovery. Pharmacological treatment may be provided for those with co-occurring disorders.
Spiritual Treatment for Substance Use
The facility provides religious and spiritual treatment for patients and their families. The spiritual care team consists of chaplains, on-call clergy and volunteers from different faiths.
Eucharistic ministry is available daily for Catholic patients and outside clergy are welcome to visit residents. When chaplains meet with you, they can talk with you about your illness and provide grief or loss support.
The patient education channel has meditation videos you can watch to help incorporate that into your treatment. In the meditation room at the facility, you can practice meditation as a means to manage your stress better. Experiential therapies are also available including yoga, movement, music and art.
Pain Management With Addiction in Mind
Many people become addicts because of pain medication they are prescribed. CRC has a team that works with pain management.
Services work to decrease pain, develop coping strategies, minimize medication use, and improve the quality of your life. Therapies are individualized based on your needs. A reviewer complimented the beautiful setting and the knowledgeable staff which helped them to achieve recovery.
