About Amended Recovery House
The Amended Recovery House in Hollywood, Florida, is a sober living home for adults who are recovering from substance use disorder. Sober houses provide intensive support for those in recovery that cannot return to a sober environment or need structured support.
Substance Use Support Meetings
You’ll be required to attend four 12 Step community support meetings per week and acquire a sponsor within your first week. Your sponsor will lead you through the 12 steps.
Clients attend a house meeting every week where your goals will be examined and possibly adjusted. At these meetings, you can voice your concerns or discuss struggles you are undergoing.
Individualized Support and Services
Mentorship allows clients to learn from others who’ve further progressed in a program. Mentors are provided and someone will be available for you 24 hours per day.
We understand that residents in sober living have personal issues they are working through. The home provides crisis intervention and one on one support. Other assistance staff provides resume building, referral to community resources, referrals for medical and mental care, and life skills education.
Residents participate in weekly drug screens and are expected to remain sober. You will be expected to be employed, be attending school, or be attending an outpatient substance use program. All residents pay $250 every Friday.
In the home, each resident shares a room with another peer. Laundry services are available on site. Residents clean daily and deep clean each week.
High speed internet and a lounge area for fellowship with peers is accessible to all residents. There’s a parking lot available, but residents are not allowed to lend their vehicle to other residents.
