About HealthRIGHT 360—Acceptance Place
The Acceptance Place of HealthRIGHT 360 in San Francisco, California, offers specialized residential services for males who identify as gay, bisexual, or transgender and are struggling with substance use disorders.
Residential Treatment for Substance Use
Clients are in residential treatment for 90 days. They participate in group discussions with other individuals who face the same stigmas that you face as you receive and give support and encouragement.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available if needed. Suboxone is a common medication prescribed. During individual treatment, you will work with your counselor on a treatment plan designed to specifically meet your needs.
During therapy you will learn how to manage things that stress you and learn about addiction and things that relate to addiction. Your case manager will help you find supportive services for needs such as housing. Medication support services and crisis interventions are also available to you.
Residential services treat co-occurring disorders and provide trauma informed care. Family counseling is available if you want to connect with your family on issues related to addiction and substance use. Your family will better understand your behavior and how to be supportive.
Referrals for Medical and Outpatient
They can refer you to a HealthRIGHT 360 clinic for medical needs, HIV services, medication assisted treatment and infectious disease prevention.
After residential treatment you might be referred for outpatient services to continue to receive support and treatment that supports recovery. You will meet with a care coordinator to develop your treatment plan. You can attend an outpatient group during the day or of the evening and will get to participate in socialization activities.
