About Treatment Trends Keenan House
Treatment Trends’ Allentown Residential in Pennsylvania is a state licensed and regulated 48 bed co-ed residential substance use treatment facility. They’re a nonprofit organization and at the time of writing is undergoing a renovation.
The center accepts Medicaid and county funded insurances. Medication assisted treatment is available including oral naltrexone, extended-release naltrexone and buprenorphine, Suboxone, and Zubsolv.
Substance Use Treatment Phase One
Substance use treatment evolves through three phases. The first phase is short term where you will adjust to the program and form relationships with peers and staff. This is considered a “black out period” where you won’t be able to leave the house.
A series of testing and diagnosis include a PTSD assessment and a psychosocial evaluation which leads to the creation of your master treatment plan. A mentor helps you adjust to your new environment.
Educational Treatment Phase Two
The second phase consists of education about how to communicate in a healthy way. Clients partake in workshops and then start taking responsibilities in the home.
If clients have interacted with our community based on our substance use, they have to learn how to look at their community from a different perspective. The staff will teach you to focus on mending the relationship with your family and sober engagement with your community.
Completion after Phase Three
In phase three, as you prepare for release from treatment, you’ll learn how to prevent relapses and aftercare to help you maintain your sobriety. At this point, clients are community advocates and are able to identify their triggers and can cope with difficult situations.
The facility is nicotine free, but residents are allowed outdoor smoke breaks. You’ll have free time where you can take advantage of the gym, recreation area, lounge time, and snacks. Allen Park and Jordan Creek aren’t too far away.
