STARS Program at Columbia University Department of Psychiatry’s Smithers Center in New York City provides substance abuse and addiction treatment. Support is available to adults aged 18 and older, regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. The care here involves comprehensive assessments, medication assisted treatment, psychotherapy, computer-based therapy, outpatient detox, and overdose prevention training. Referrals are available for those in need of further more intensive care. All treatment here is free to those who need it.
