South Shore Recovery Home in Quincy, Massachusetts, is an all male recovery home. Quincy is south of Boston, along Massachusetts Bay and within a mile of the United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum. Residents can quickly access restaurants, parks and the shoreline.
Inclusive Men's Recovery Home
The all male program has 22 beds and complies with all state and federal laws for admission and treatment. They do not deny admission, including a history of criminal conviction, mental health diagnosis or the type of primary substance used. Eligibility criteria includes being a Massachusetts resident who is at least 20 years old with a diagnosis of a substance use disorder and has been substance free for at least 5 days.
Structured Six Month Men's Program
They offer a structured six-month program for men who are not infected with tuberculosis and are medically cleared for admission. Their services are specialized for men who have an opioid use disorder, including medication assisted treatment (MAT) prescribed elsewhere.
The facility has 24/7 staffing and operates as part of the Recovery Homes Collaborative. This is a group of long term residential programs that address the needs of men and women with drug or alcohol addiction. They are the recipient of governmental financing, including SAMHSA funding block grants.
