About Opportunity House Fresno
Opportunity House in Fresno, California is a high level of support sober living home with room for 15 residents. There are six bedrooms and lots of common area including an indoor pool. It’s located on a large lot with a beautiful backyard and has two resident Golden Doodles to offer pet therapy 24/7.
Supportive and Strict for Success
If you are coming to Opportunity House from the community rather than an inpatient or residential program, you will be under a 30-day blackout at the beginning of your stay. This means that besides going to post-secondary school, work, or appointments you will be expected to be at home or at 12 Step meetings. AA meetings can take place up to four times a week.
There are rules, a curfew, and visiting hours for family and friends that all residents must respect and agree to. Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am every day and residents may be required to submit to a breathalyzer or random urine test as part of their tenancy.
Living Expenses and Late Fees
Fees are due on the 1st of every month and there will be late fees if not paid on time. They do accept some insurance plans for some costs. It is important to verify with your private insurance provider whether your treatment and expenses are covered or not.

Fresno Fun and Relaxation
Fresno is a picturesque area with a park to satisfy everyone’s taste from baseball at Chukchansi Park to Shakespeare in Woodward Park. There’s shopping at River Park for a little retail therapy and a very cool underground garden designed by Baldassare Forestiere that has been blooming, blossoming, and evolving for more than a century.
If animals are more your thing, then there is the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, which is home to more than 190 species.
