About New Life House – Los Angeles Sober Living
New Life House Recovery Community in Los Angeles, California, is a sober living house for young men. Men come from all over the United States to join this structured program that teaches young men how to be an adult and how to live a sober life.
Treatment for Addiction
Substance use treatment is an outpatient program at Clear Recovery Center that allows the guys to continue working on the life they are trying to establish. Mental health issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional instability is also treated.
You'll have a case manager who works with you on achieving your life goals, treatment goals, and offers other types of support. Your case manager will communicate with New Life House about your progress.
You may be prescribed psychiatric medication for substance use disorder and/or mental disorders. Non-addictive medications that are approved by the FDA are prescribed.
You will participate in holistic therapy including yoga, meditation, breathwork and mindfulness practice. These therapies help you manage your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Life Skills Training
Residents are taught life skills such as money management, how to build relationships, self care, and maintaining a healthy living space. Other taught skills include decision making, problem solving, self confidence and healthy coping skills.
Support on an Education Track
After life skills training, the house provides educational support for the men. This includes traditional college, trade school, or vocation certification programs. Academic staff at the house guide the men in these pursuits.
Family Involvement at the House
Their family program works to repair relationships that were damaged by substance use. Many people may lose respect for our family members who made poor decisions, but all clients need support as they work toward a better life.
