About New Hope Housing Residential Program Center
PathForward has been serving the homeless since 1988. Located in Arlington, Virginia, the organization grew steadily over the years and now has dedicated residential service locations, including the Residential Program Center on Columbia Pike.
Arlington is a walkable urban area directly opposite Washington DC across the Potomac River. With a population of over 243,000 people, it's known for its top rated schools and role as a major business hub, including Amazon's HQ2.
Shelter and Support Reduces Relapse
The Residential Program Center for PathForward provides housing focused shelter and comprehensive support. While they do not offer a structured substance use disorder program, they provide the support needed to reduce the risk of relapse. The residential program has 42 shelter beds and a day program with three daily meals and showers, laundry and referrals for medical care.
Onsite Medical Care & Mental Health Support Addresses Homelessness
PathForward also provides onsite medical care and mental health support for individuals who are struggling with co-occurring mental health conditions often associated with homelessness or substance use disorder. Case management is also available to connect you with community resources and provide access to outreach and stabilization services.
From November to the end of March, PathForward runs a hypothermia prevention program with an additional 25 beds to prevent folks from dying from exposure.
