About Kaiser CDRP
Kaiser Permanente’s Addiction Medicine Recovery Services (AMRS) at Vallejo Medical Center in Vallejo, California, offers outpatient substance use treatment to Kaiser members. Their addiction medicine research is continuously improving care and achieving higher positive results for treatment outcomes.
The clinic offers services to adults, adolescents and their parents, referrals from the employee assistance program, and referrals from the Department of Transportation.
Medication Assisted Treatment for Addiction
Medical detox is available at the center to relieve withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Medication is commonly prescribed for those addicted to opioids, heroin, prescription pain relievers, and alcohol.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may also be used for any underlying disorders. If clients are diagnosed with co-occurring mental health disorders, they may be prescribed medication to treat it.
Substance Use Counseling and Resources
Clients participate in individual counseling where they discover underlying issues that have caused them to use substances. In place of self medicating, they develop new healthy coping skills.
We seek ways to be healthier through exercise routines, healthy eating, and any other information we have accessible to us. Kaiser offers free self care apps to any adult members. Apps are available for mindfulness and meditation, better sleep, reducing stress, depression management and other beneficial resources.
