About House of Hope Provo
House of Hope Provo is a nonprofit residential treatment center providing substance use disorder care for adult women and mothers in Provo, Utah. The program offers family centered residential services that allow mothers to receive treatment while maintaining custody of their children, serving up to 16 families daily.
With roots dating back to 1953 and a Provo campus established in 1972 House of Hope delivers trauma informed and evidence based care designed to help women rebuild their lives without separation from their families.
Family Centered Residential Treatment for Mothers in Recovery
House of Hope Provo specializes in residential care for women with substance use disorders including pregnant and postpartum mothers. The program integrates therapeutic day treatment and childcare for children ages birth to eight while mothers participate in treatment, creating a unique custody preserving model of recovery.
The family centered approach addresses both addiction and the complex needs of motherhood with integrated services for children running parallel to adult treatment.
Mothers work on sobriety and skill building in a supportive environment that recognizes the importance of keeping families together during recovery with capacity for residential stays in campus style cottages nestled near the Wasatch Front.
Trauma Informed, Evidence-Based Therapies
Treatment at House of Hope Provo incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused CBT. These modalities address co-occurring mental health disorders and the underlying trauma often present in women's recovery journeys through client counseling, group therapy, and family counseling sessions.
