About Greenlife Intensive Outpatient Program
GreenLife IOP provides substance use disorder treatment for Pembroke Pines, Florida, and its surrounding cities. Telehealth services are available for the entire state of Florida. They’re open on weekdays and Saturdays.
The center is CARF accredited and is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Family Services. The former founder, Dr. Randall Green, had been in recovery for 40 years and believed strongly that spirituality should be integrated into addiction treatment.
Substance Use Methods and Treatments
The basis for treatment at the center is the 12 Step methods. Other modalities used include SMART recovery, mindfulness, behavioral and narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing.
The four points used in their outpatient programs follow the SMART recovery’s four-point program. This begins with building and maintaining motivation followed by coping with urges. The third point is managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and concludes with living a balanced life.
Flexible Outpatient Programs
In intensive outpatient programs you will have the choice of attending during the day or of the evenings. You will attend three to five times per week for eight weeks.
After making progress, the number of times you attend per week will be fewer. In addition to group therapy, clients are assigned therapists who’ll work with them individually in private confidential meetings.
For those who do not require an intensive program, general outpatient treatment is available. Clients meet once or twice per week in the evenings. These meetings consist of group and individual therapy.
It’s difficult for many clients to understand how to help their loved ones through something they’re not educated about. The center offers family therapy as part of the client’s treatment. This therapy will reconcile family differences and work on improving communication.
