About Epiphany Center
Epiphany Center offers substance abuse treatment for marginalized women 18 and older and their families in San Francisco, California.
The goal is to strengthen families with holistic treatment deeply rooted in Catholic and Judeo-Christian beliefs. Clients must be residents of San Francisco to obtain admission into the program.
Client-Centered Care
Since one of the goals of the program is to strengthen families, they offer treatment to some of the most vulnerable guests in the community. The team believes this service reflects their values and emphasizes the faith-based principles of their traditions.
Treatment includes education, spiritual growth and employment assistance. For those facing homelessness or struggling with low incomes, this service can be invaluable for a healthier future. Decreasing the stress of financial insecurity can help clients feel less need to abuse substances.
Structure and Flexibility
The residential program for women allows stays of 30, 60 and 90 days. It provides clients with a safe space for them and their children while they learn life and communication skills.
Recovery groups involve learning to process emotions with healthy coping skills and living in balance. One-on-one counseling is included in the program to offer a safe area where guests can share their challenges and past trauma in private. They may uncover the root causes of their addiction and move past them for long-term recovery.
The program also focuses on having a deeper understanding of the disease of addiction and how it affects thinking patterns and relationships. Their team will help design a specific relapse prevention plan you can use after treatment to help ensure future sobriety. Case management is on-site to provide connections to outside agencies or resources for ongoing recovery care, insurance and transportation.
