About City Treatment Services
City Treatment Services once served the Haltom City, Texas community as an outpatient center specializing in opioid addiction treatment. The clinic focused on medication-assisted treatment (MT) using methadone and buprenorphine to help people manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings.
The programs were designed to support adults who wanted recovery while also continuing to work or care for their families. Counseling and relapse prevention sessions worked with medical care and helped clients to work towards rebuilding stability in their everyday lives.
Programs That Focused on Real-Life Recovery
City Treatment Services provided both general and intensive outpatient options so clients could choose the level of structure that worked best for them. The team here emphasized harm reduction and put a really big focus on progress over perfection.
I love that they realized recovery doesn’t always move in a straight line. The individual and group therapy sessions they offered help people understand their triggers and find healthier ways to cope. But every person who attended here was supported by a team that truly cared.
Their team here worked closely with local probation officers and community health agencies to make sure people leaving the justice system had a path toward recovery instead of falling back into old habits. And for their pregnant mothers, they offered specialized treatment plans to help keep both baby and mom safe while managing withdrawal.
A Quiet Closer But a Lasting Impact
Although the building on Carson Street now sits empty, it once stood out for how approachable and practical its care was. The clinic wasn’t a big hospital setting. It felt more like a neighborhood office where people could walk in, talk openly and get the help they needed without having to face any sort of judgement.
