About Citrus Health Network
You’ll find Citrus Health Network in Hialeah, Florida, just 10 miles outside of downtown Miami. As one of the largest nonprofit healthcare providers in South Florida, they’ve provided integrated care for adults and children since 1979. You can access specialized programs to overcome addiction and mental health conditions.
Federally Qualified Health Center
One great feature that caught my eye was that this organization is a Federally Qualified Health Center. This means they offer integrated services, including primary health care. You’ll benefit from a holistic approach to improve your overall well being while working towards recovery.
The HOPE Program
The HOPE program provides medication assisted treatment (MAT) for adults aged 18 and older battling addiction. They prescribe FDA approved medications to help you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. You’ll also participate in expert backed approaches, like assessments, outpatient psychiatry, individual and group therapy, nursing services and service coordination.
Adult Housing Programs
Another great feature that caught my eye was their adult housing programs. These services are available for Veterans, people living with disabilities, individuals with co-occurring disorders, and individuals with chronic mental illnesses.
You can access rental assistance in the community or permanent housing. You’ll benefit from additional support services, including psychiatric treatment and case management to promote independent living and lasting recovery.
Assessment and Emergency Services
I also think it's beneficial that they have assessment and emergency services. If you're experiencing a behavioral health crisis, they offer 24/7 assistance.
They work with you to understand your needs and provide guidance for the next best steps for your recovery. Citrus Health Network is conveniently located just off of Palmetto Expressway and only minutes away from Miami International Airport.
