About Center for Human Services Shoreline
The Center for Human Services in Shoreline, Washington, helps strengthen the community through counseling and education. They’ve provided a variety of services since 1970, from the founding of Creative Life Foundation and Shoreline Youth Services. These organizations merged in 1982 to become the Center for Human Services.
Shoreline was incorporated in 1995 and is a residential, family friendly city of roughly 60,000 people. For those looking to relax and unwind after a session, the city has over 30 parks and beautiful views of Puget Sound, with easy access to Seattle.
Evidence Base Outpatient Addiction Treatment
The Center for Human Services provides mental health counseling, family support, substance use disorder treatment and community-based initiative services to help strengthen individuals and the community. The substance use disorder treatment programs begin with an assessment and offer outpatient programming, case management and specialized treatment for pregnant, parenting and postpartum women.
The ASAM assessments help determine the level of care needed to address your concerns. These may include a traditional outpatient program or an intensive outpatient treatment program for youth and adults. This includes individual and group sessions using evidence-based treatment modalities. Case management helps connect you with community resources and keeps you engaged in your program.
Specialized Programs and Telepsychology
Special programming for pregnant, parenting and postpartum women focuses on recovery with onsite child care and parenting coaching to promote a strong parent-child bond. Family support services also include parenting classes and one on one parent coaching available in Spanish and English.
Mental health counseling is clinic based and addresses many of the co-occurring mental health conditions that are associated with substance use disorders and other addictions. Mental health therapists work with individuals, couples and families to define treatment goals and plan a course of action, even wraparound care for infants. Telepsychology services for medication management are available when appropriate.
