About Camelot Manhattan Clinton Family Inn
The Clinton Family Residence (CFR) is a shelter and a connection point where families can receive the social assistance provided by Homes for the Homeless (HFH). Situated in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City, New York, this shelter is accessible to homeless families who’ve been referred there by the city’s Department of Homeless Services.
HFH then provides numerous social services to residents, including educational support, case management services, access to housing specialists, and onsite substance use treatments, offered in partnership with Camelot.
They’re also close to several parks, like the DeWitt Clinton Park, which has playgrounds and basketball courts that families can use during their time at CFR.
Care That Meets You Where You Are
The way Camelot offers the care they do at this facility is by sending a staff member or care team to provide substance use treatment within the residence itself. At CFR, Camelot staff offers weekly individual counseling aimed at providing a private and dignified space where each resident undergoing treatment can discuss the details of their battles with substances and work on solutions.
Camelot’s staff further offers group sessions, family counseling, and workshops on how to tackle common physical conditions that accompany addiction. They also have a unique approach where they coach individuals on finding alternative recreational activities to replace recreational drug use, understanding that everyone has a deep need to have fun.
Meeting More Intensive Needs
If you have more intensive needs, Camelot can offer services that can meet those needs. They’ve dedicated outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential treatment centers throughout New York and can also provide ambulatory withdrawal services as an alternative to inpatient detox.
