About Bradford Health Services Birmingham Outpatient Program
Bradford Health Services’ Birmingham Outpatient Program provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment to people in the greater Birmingham, Alabama. The program is designed to be flexible for people that need substance abuse support but still have commitments to maintain. It is one of 28 facilities that is part of the greater BHS addiction treatment network that serves the state. The outpatient facilities here provide a wide range of options depending on the severity of your addiction.
Intensive Programs for Early Recovery
Especially if you’ve just begun your sobriety journey, you might need more intensive support that immerses you in a safe environment where you can prioritize understanding and controlling your addiction. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a great way to begin by allowing you to stay overnight at your home but spend your weekdays in an intensive day hospitalization program that lasts for several weeks.
The next step down from a PHP is the intensive outpatient program which is usually recommended for people who either successfully completed the partial hospitalization program or who have a less severe form of addiction that can be managed with several weekly check ins instead of daily support. Sessions are available during the day or night to provide extra flexibility for people with work or school schedules.
Flexible Therapeutic Support
Another key feature at this location is access to a range of therapeutic services. Whether in a PHP, IOP, or traditional outpatient program, you can take advantage of individual and group therapy sessions. There’s also access to continuing care which helps you maintain sobriety once you successfully complete the program.
Additionally, there are family courses offered to ensure you get the support you need. BHS accepts most insurers offered in Alabama but also offers financial services if needed. Consider speaking with a patient care advocate to learn more about financial aid.
