About HCA Florida Aventura Hospital
HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is located in beautiful Aventura, Florida. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Cancer and is certified as a Level II Trauma Center by the State of Florida. They accept Medicaid, Medicare and other forms of insurance.
If you are experiencing a crisis, the hospital has a 24/7 emergency room where you can be stabilized. Within the hospital is a Behavioral Health Center. Inpatient and outpatient services there treat addiction, bipolar disorders, depression, panic and anxiety disorders and trauma. The hospital is a designated Baker Act facility, so you can have your resistive loved one involuntarily admitted into a program for essential substance use treatment.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
If you have co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, the center can treat both. Services offered include psychiatry sessions, psychological testing, addiction and recovery groups, mental health groups, counseling for families and individuals and medication management. As your treatment comes close to completion, you will work on discharge planning with your counselor and receive referrals to aftercare support programs. For those suffering from depression, electroconvulsive therapy is offered.
Behavioral Health Mindfulness Outpatient Programs
Behavioral Health Mindfulness Programs help us become aware of our feelings and thoughts that lead to triggering scenarios where we are tempted to use. The programs are available in three tracks to give you the most convenient treatment time possible.
All tracks meet from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Track A meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Track B meets Tuesday through Thursday. Track C meets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Inpatient Addiction and Psychiatric Treatment
An adult inpatient program offers more intensive treatment for addiction. Addiction specialists and registered nurses offer expertise for the inpatient program.
The center offers a specialized inpatient geriatric program for clients who are 65 years or older. The program addresses mental health and depression issues common in the senior population.
