About West Texas Counseling and Rehabilitation Program Midland
West Texas Counseling and Rehabilitation (WTCR) in Midland, Texas offers outpatient medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). They treat opiate addiction as a chronic yet treatable medical and psychological illness.
The clinic is accredited by The Joint Commission. They accept Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance coverages. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 11:30 am and Saturday from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
Walk Ins Welcome for Assessments
Admissions are processed Monday through Friday through appointments or walk-ins. The clinic will need to determine if you meet the legal requirements for medication assisted treatment. This process does not use any form of judgement against you but rather verifies that this is the level of treatment needed for you to be successful in your recovery.
Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction
Medication assisted treatment prescribes methadone and buprenorphine. Sustained use of these medications provides stabilization, reduction of withdrawal symptoms, and reduction of cravings. If you are actively participating in your treatment, you will be allowed to take home medications so that you don’t have to come to the clinic every day for dosing.
Therapy for Substance Use Disorder
In addition to medication, you will be required to attend therapy sessions, because therapy is necessary to complement MAT. These sessions will help you understand your addiction and change the way you think in a way that benefits your long term recovery.
We each have a personalized way that we cope with or react to stressful situations. Therapy will teach you how to cope and react without using substances.
Your counselor and physician will create an individualized treatment plan for you. Together you will work with them to progress through your treatment plan successfully.
