About Welcome To Life – Sober Living for Men
Welcome to Life in Covina, California offers a sober living environment for men who are in early recovery. Men are able to participate in substance use programs while getting their lives together and preparing to reintegrate into the community.
The house uses the 12 step method for recovery. While at the home you will be supervised and monitored while being supported with building a resume and finding employment. You will have a rent fee due for your accommodations.
Sober Living with 12 Step Meetings
Clients participate in 12 step meetings and are expected to find a sponsor. You will have regular appointments for outpatient substance use therapy at a local treatment facility.
Regular house meetings will promote peer conversation and accountability among residents. We have seen that holding substance users accountable can promote sobriety. We believe encouragement and praise for successes are equally important.
Substantial Structure for Accountability
Clients have stated that the “manager is as tough as a boot camp commander” but that “being pushed transformed my life beyond my wildest dreams.” A former military resident expressed the comfort of being in a structured environment and being able to respond to the program in a more positive way.
