About Vinland National Center Outpatient Chemical Health Program
Vinland National Center offers substance use treatment in Minneapolis, Minnesota specializing in outpatient care for adults with co-occurring mental health conditions or developmental disabilities. The program offers drug and alcohol treatment as well as a separate problem gambling track, both designed with individualized accommodations like slower pacing, repetition, and adaptations for different learning styles.
Clients appreciate the trauma-informed approach and the staff's understanding of how cognitive challenges can create barriers in traditional addiction treatment settings.
Outpatient Flexibility
Vinland provides outpatient substance use care with problem gambling treatment for adults ages 18 and older. Services include individual counseling with case managers, group sessions, trauma-responsive care, adapted mindfulness meditation and art therapy. On-site Rule 25 assessments for substance use and Rule 82 assessments for gambling help determine the right level of care.
Counseling sessions may focus on healthier coping strategies and learning to recognize substance use triggers. Holistic therapy can serve as an alternative creative pathway and stress reduction method.
Dual Diagnosis Specialization
The program serves guests of all genders with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns and trauma histories. Vinland is especially designed for people with cognitive impairments like traumatic brain injury, visual impairment, or physical disability who may have struggled or relapsed in traditional treatment programs.
Vinland accepts consolidated treatment funds, pre-paid medical plans, most insurance including Medical Assistance and TRICARE and private pay. Sliding scale payment assistance and financial aid are available and Minnesota state funding may allow eligible clients to access problem gambling services at no cost.
