About VA Boston Healthcare System Lowell Community Based Outpatient Clinic
Near the center of Ayre’s City in Lowell, Massachusetts, you’ll find Lowell’s Veterans Affairs (VA) outpatient clinic. This clinic is a division of the Boston VA Healthcare system and works closely with the other clinics and medical centers in this network, most of which aren’t far from the Lowell Clinic. It provides veterans and qualifying active duty servicemembers in the community with several primary and specialty services, including mental health and addiction treatment services. Referrals are not required.
Helping Veterans Access Tailored Care
One of the Lowell VA Clinic’s functions is to help veterans access the addiction treatment services needed in their particular circumstances. In your first appointment, they’ll evaluate your medical and other needs before starting you on your recovery journey.
At the clinic, their treatments are offered at the intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard levels of care, which primarily consist of individual and group therapy sessions and counseling. However, they also punctuate the treatment with skill building programs, recreational therapies, and improved diet programs, ensuring that the overarching treatment plan remains holistic.
If you need more intensive care, they’ll help get you to the Jamaica Plain Campus’s residential program.
Beloved, Professional Staff
The Lowell VA Clinic is reportedly a favorable VA clinic to visit. It helps that River Meadow Brook is close by, alongside the Concord River on the other side. Some present and past clients even report driving long distances to be treated here because of the friendly and professional staff.
