About Unlimited Visions Behavioral Health Institute
Unlimited Visions Behavioral Health Institute (UVBHI) in Baytown, Texas, is owned and operated by an African American woman. Marilyn Jones founded the institute in 1996 with $200, a vision, and the assistance of her father.
UVBHI is an adult and youth substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders treatment center. Services are available in English and Spanish.
Mental health disorders treated at the institute include depression, bipolar disorders, panic and anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, major depressive disorder, and mood disorders. Treatment for pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety is offered to mothers. Other conditions treated include addiction and dual diagnosis.
Adolescent Treatment Program
The adolescent treatment program has four phases of treatment. The phases include intensive residential treatment and supportive residential treatment. Residential treatment is only offered to male youth at the Pasadena campus. The last two phases are transitional outpatient programs and supportive outpatient programs.
Adult Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
Adult outpatient substance abuse and mental health services offer weekly group and individual therapy sessions. Groups can be attended virtually online. You can attend family education and therapy with your family if this needs to be part of your treatment. Group sessions vary in topics. Included are HIV, STDs, opioids, tobacco cessation, grief support, and life skills.
Youth Prevention and Support Services
Youth prevention and support services offer group and individual treatment sessions for the youth, education on substance use disorder for the family, accomplishment celebrations, and red ribbon week presentations. Many people respond positively when recognized for hard work that has led to achievements. The institute offers recognition for youth.
Recovery Community Support Services
Recovery community support services are available for adults and youth. Support groups are led by peers who are in recovery. A Success Mastermind program is attended virtually for six weeks. Clients are assisted with work readiness, health, healing, fitness, and get to participate in sober activities. Youth can receive tutoring for their schoolwork.
