About Unison Health Starr Avenue
Unison Health is a group of mental health and behavioral health clinics across six locations in Ohio. The Starr Avenue Clinic is located in a suburban corner of Toledo, the state's fourth largest city. Toledo is located on Lake Erie and the Maumee River, renowned for its manufacturing in the automotive and glass industries.
Ohio RISE Program
Unison Health Clinics provides outpatient treatment for children and adults, as well as housing assistance and sober living housing. The Toledo mental health clinic on Starr Avenue offers mental health therapies for adults and minors and psychiatry and the Ohio RISE program.
OhioRISE is paid by Medicaid to help young folks with behavioral health issues. The program's mission is to provide community care to young people who experience mental health or substance use disorder challenges.
Juvenile Court & Adult Recovery Resources
Unison Health works closely with the juvenile court and with children whose situations have led to involvement with Child Protective Services. They provide care coordination and care plans that strengthen recovery and connect youth to the services and resources they need for treatment.
The adult mental health therapy program offers psychiatric services, medication assisted treatment (MAT), case management, and a SPERA day program for adults who need more than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require an overnight hospitalization. Clients build skills for daily life and recovery.
The Care Navigator program helps those who are facing homelessness or legal challenges find housing and meet their basic needs.
